Travel Tips

  • Passport

All foreign nationals entering the Republic of Korea are required to hold a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond their intended departure date.

  • Visa

Participants are responsible for checking whether a visa is required to enter Korea based on their nationality.

If you require an official invitation letter, select the option during registration. If additional supporting documents are needed, please contact the Secretariat.

As visa processing times may vary, we strongly recommend applying well in advance.

  • K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)

Travelers from visa-free eligible countries must apply for a K-ETA prior to boarding their flight to Korea.

    • Application Fee : KRW 10,000 (approx. USD 7), non-refundable
    • Processing Time : Up to 72 hours (may take longer depending on circumstances)
    • Validity : Up to 3 years from approval date (or until passport expiration, whichever comes first)
    • Official Website : Visit K-ETA Website (Official K-ETA Website)

Please apply for your K-ETA at least 72 hours before departure to avoid any delays.

Approved K-ETA does not guarantee entry; final admission is decided by immigration officers.

Korea does not authorize K-ETA applications via third-party sites; beware of fraudulent services.

  • Entry via Jeju Island

Foreign nationals arriving directly in Jeju Island may be eligible for visa-free entry depending on their nationality.

    • Nationals of the following countries are not eligible for Jeju visa-free entry: Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Cuba, Syria, North Macedonia, Palestine, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Ghana, and Yemen.
    • This policy applies only to Jeju Island and does not permit travel to mainland Korea.
    • The visa-free entry policy applies only to travelers arriving directly in Jeju Island by international flight or ship.

Passengers arriving in Jeju via Incheon International Airport (ICN) or Gimpo International Airport (GMP) are not eligible for the Jeju visa-free entry program and must obtain an appropriate visa in advance.
